The German Steering Committee
When the Church and Business against HIV and AIDS project began, three churches from the Province of North Rhine Westphalia (NRW) formed the German Steering Committee: the Evangelical Church of Westphalia, the Evangelical Church of the Rhineland and the Lippe Church. The Committee focussed on the activities within the region, discussions about the international projects, fundraising, public relation issues and communication with various stakeholders (e.g. Bread for the World).
The German Steering Committee invited the business sector to become involved through events like a panel discussion of the Krefeld German Chamber of Commerce. The Committee also became involved in the CHABAHIVA programme in Piet Retief district and the NRW-Mpumalanga Partnership.
The CEO of the German Steering Committee is involved in fundraising and project proposals and project development including fundraising for the CHABAHIVA Programmes in South Africa and Namibia. The Committee forms part of the International Steering Committee.
Those in Germany who are interested in the programme are more than welcome to contact the Chairperson of the German Steering Committee, Dr. Ulrich Möller (email to dr.moeller(at)lka.ekvw.de or call +49 521 594 237.
